This Blog is a Snoozefest...

I haven't published anything on here since 2007. That's criminal considering the sheer number of books I've read.  Maybe going back through them will be a form of nostalgia.  I guess technically I should include music, because in 3 years when I make my next post it will be funny to read what I said.  Here's a little spice..or just something to make myself laugh.

I've been listening to Pandora's Summer Hits of the '80s tonight. The following songs make me nostalgic.

That's All - Genesis
- Genesis reminds me of being a kid.  I mean, being a true kid.  Listening to their cassette tape on my walkman as we drove around the country (Ohio, Florida, Carolina, and Georgia)
Separate Ways - Journey
We Built this City - Starship
- Ah reminds me of a family reunion in Ohio.  Don't ask me the year.  I barely remember what the current year is, but I know that I was again listening to a cassette on my walkman (yep, I'm that old).  I also know that the tape was "worn out."
Take on Me - Ah-Ha
- One thing truly can describe this song.  ASTROWORLD.  Yep, it played on the T.V.s in the queue lines for the entire time I worked there.  I guarantee I heard it everytime it played, and I sang along.  Those days were simple.  No cell phones.  When you were in the park, you were in the park.  You couldn't be reached. We were so free then...We had no clue.
If You Leave - Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark (OMD)
Always Something There to Remind Me - Naked Eyes
Purple Rain - Prince
- Ah...Alan, Michelle, Bill, and Laura Gunter.  This song will forever remind me of the 4 of you.  I can't even count the number of times Michelle and I sang this song from atop speakers with beer bottles in our hands.  Oh, we must have looked like total douchebags, but there again no cell phones.  When we were out.  We were out.  We had a BLAST!!!
